Gaznat is a limited company which supplies and transports high pressure natural gas to Western Switzerland. It guarantees the safest service to its clients at the best price conditions.
Our company employs approximately fifty collaborators working on the sites of Vevey and Aigle.
Gaznat's headquarters are based in Vevey. This includes our Management as well the General Services and Trading departments. The latter is in charge of gas procurement contracts as well as the optimum management of short and long-term contracts.
The Aigle site is centred on operational and engineering activities. The fully automated control centre monitors the operation of the entire Gaznat network which comprises approximately 600 km of gas pipelines and 45 delivery stations.
Gaznat operates a network of high-pressure gas pipelines (70 bar) to transfer gas to distributors. These distributors then deliver gas to final clients via their low-pressure network (5 bar or less). The gas pressure is reduced from 70 to 5 bar by using the metering and regulating stations.
Natural gas distributors, such as large town industrial services around the Lake Geneva area and private companies count among Gaznat's main clients.
Gaznat is also involved in the network for natural gas used as fuel for vehicles. Read more >>
