A NETWORK OF GAS PIPELINES UNDER STRICT SUPERVISION

We are responsible for supplying natural gas to French-speaking Switzerland while ensuring optimum safety throughout our gas pipeline network.

To do so, an important supervision system has been developed to ensure plant safety and integrity 24 hours a day.

In parallel, regular inspections over the full length of our pipelines are carried out, either on foot or by helicopter. This allows the detection of potential faults or unauthorised work which could damage the pipelines or the gas installations.

Furthermore, the operation of our networks of transport pipelines in Switzerland must comply with the requirements of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) and is governed by the federal legislation on transport installations using pipelines. This activity is closely controlled by the Federal Pipelines Inspectorate (IFP).
