Carbon capture by graphene nanopore membranes. EPFL and Gaznat present a new technology in the specialized magazine Aqua & Gas.

"To address environmental challenges, EPFL, in collaboration with Gaznat, has developed a new membrane technology based on a nanopore graphene filter that significantly improves the efficiency and selectivity during post-combustion capture of carbon dioxide point sources. The technology is on its way to high maturity with the integration of a demonstration prototype in a pilot plant within Gaznat's future innovation laboratory in Aigle."

Carbon: it's the element of the earth that we've been talking about the most in recent years. With the global increase in energy consumption and the dependence on fossil fuels, one of the major challenges is to reduce the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere.

The technology described in the article will be implemented in a pilot plant in the future innovation laboratory in Aigle, whose first brick will be laid on May 6, 2022. Gaznat will communicate on this large-scale project during the year 2022.
