Our history
Gaznat has accompanied the development of the Swiss gas industry for over 50 years.
Gaznat was founded as an engineering company with the mission of promoting the arrival of natural gas in French-speaking Switzerland.
This marks the beginning of the construction of a structured supply network for the region.
Commissioning of the first Suisse Romand (GSR) gas pipeline.
This route links Bex to Vernier, passing under Lake Geneva via a sublake installation never before seen in Europe. This technical feat establishes a strategic energy link between Valais and Geneva.
Creation of Unigaz SA to connect the Swiss network to Transitgas.
Construction of a second underwater pipeline between Les Grangettes and Gland.
This strategic route increases transport capacity, with technical landings at Clarens, Lausanne-Bellerive and Tolochenaz, while preserving the Lake Geneva landscape.
Commissioning of the Trélex-Colovrex gas pipeline on May 9, 2014.
This new section will enhance Geneva's security of supply and adapt the network to the continuing growth in demand for natural gas in the region.
Inauguration of the Innovation Lab in Aigle, a semi-industrial test facility dedicated to renewable energies.
The GreenGas project, developed in collaboration with EPFL, enables Gaznat's control and monitoring center to become energy self-sufficient thanks to Power-to-Gas, and to recycle CO2 as a by-product.

Anticipate our customers' and partners' needs for natural gas and related services, while constantly optimizing our services under the best economic and safety conditions.
All Gaznat employees are mobilized every day to carry out this mission, based on the following commitments:
A tailor-made response to our customers' needs
1.1 All Gaznat products and/or services are tailored to the customer's needs.
1.2. During the development phase of an offer, the customer concerned is offered a dedicated and competent Gaznat contact.
1.3. Our offers are built on the basis of homogeneous standards that we apply to all our customers, in a transparent manner.
1.4. In addition to regular informal contacts, we organize a formal meeting with each customer at least once a year, involving a member of Gaznat's Management, to ensure that our products and services are fully suited to the customer's needs.
Impeccable service quality
2.1. The level of availability of the gas we deliver to our non-interruptible customers (*) is at least 99.99% on an annual basis, except in cases of force majeure.
2.2. We inform each customer in writing, within 24 working hours, of any change likely to have an impact on their operations.
2.3. We offer each customer free access to a dedicated Gaznat extranet, enabling them to monitor their gas consumption parameters hour by hour.
2.4. All customer requests, whatever their form, are acknowledged in writing within 24 working hours.
2.5. We regularly collect and analyze our customers' opinions and views on the quality of our services, and take corrective action where necessary.
2.6. We ensure that our employees always have the expertise and skills required to provide the best possible customer service.
Respect for our environment in all circumstances
3.1. before launching any new infrastructure project, we systematically explain and inform the stakeholders and communities involved.
3.2. During construction work, we attach particular importance to respect for the ecosystem.
3.3. We are committed to promotingCO2-neutral gas.
3.4. We fully respect the legal and regulatory framework in all circumstances.
Top priority to safety
4.1. We apply the strictest rules to ensure the integrity of our installations.
4.2. In the event of a dangerous breakdown, we initiate the response process within one minute, take the necessary emergency measures and intervene on site within a maximum of one hour.
4.3. We ensure optimum diversification of gas supplies.
4.4. Our internal objective is zero accidents.
Any customer who considers that this charter has not been respected may refer the matter directly to the Managing Director of Gaznat SA.
(*) Interruptible customers benefit from specific pricing conditions, linked to the authorization they give Gaznat to interrupt their supply on request.
