Dispatching operator

Your tasks

You will be responsible for monitoring and managing flows in the natural gas transmission network in western Switzerland using a supervision system. As part of the Dispatching & Transport Department, you will be at the heart of Gaznat's mission: ensuring a secure and sustainable supply.

Your daily life will be punctuated by several key missions:

  • Monitor and ensure the safety of the gas transmission network as part of a continuous 3×8-hour service (gas supply is managed 24/7).
  • Monitor changes in transportation needs using simulation tools, then validate supply plans.
  • Contribute to the development of statistics, which are essential for the planning of our clients and partners.

Coordinate actions and work to be undertaken with our internal and external contacts (colleagues, customers, and partners)

Your profile

Do you enjoy a supervisory role, demanding operational environments, and autonomy in managing your tasks? Then this position is for you.

What we are looking for (and why):

  • Proven experience in a technical field (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical industry, etc.) to master an industrial and technical environment driven by a variety of IT tools.
  • Training (CFC, equivalent) in one of the above-mentioned fieldsand a motivation to learn and update your skills.
  • Proficiency in computer tools (Microsoft Office)and experience in IT process supervision, in order to monitor and guarantee the safety of gas transport.
  • Agood understanding of numbers, to verify the relevance of data and correct it if necessary.
  • Good spoken English or German skills, to answer calls and emails.
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills and good stress managementto make decisions in unexpected situations in an environment where you are solely in charge.
  • Asense of responsibility, organization, autonomy, and rigor, to plan and follow priorities in a context where you and seven colleagues take turns.
  • Interpersonal skills and tact, in order to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Flexibility in your schedule, which is essential in a role where your working hours are irregular.
  • A driver's license, as our site is located in the industrial zone of Aigle, with little public transport.
  • Aplace of residence in the Chablais region of Vaud or Valais, in orderto participate in the on-call service.
