Digitalisation
Gaznat has made an extranet available to its customers for the past few years. In addition to providing consumption data, linepack monitoring and different types of information relating to gas quality, this platform was enhanced with new features in 2016 in response to customer expectations:
- Definition of alarm thresholds relating to the hourly quantities transported, including dispatch of a message to different recipients.
- Developing the extranet so that it can be used on mobile devices.

Digitalisation is also making its appearance in the field. The Gaznat teams are now using a drone to monitor the gas network. This pre-programmed machine flies over the selected sections of the route in automatic mode. The data collected is then studied at the Control Centre in Aigle to detect any potentially harmful activity close to a gas pipeline.

A number of important projects were concluded in 2017:
- Launch of a new website which is up-to-date, streamlined and can be used on all devices for optimal navigation.
Introduction of a new enterprise resource planning system with an intuitive Internet interface and electronic document management.
Launch of a mobile application to monitor, in real time, the quantities delivered on the Gaznat network, the flow map at the network entry points and the dispatch of push notifications in the event of disruptions.
